No-KYC eSIM in 2026: How to Get Mobile Data Abroad Without Showing ID

What a no-KYC eSIM is, why most travel eSIM apps still ask for an account, what a no-KYC provider can and cannot hide, and how to buy one in a couple of minutes.

What "no-KYC" actually means

KYC stands for *Know Your Customer*. It is the identity check banks and exchanges run: a passport photo, a selfie, sometimes proof of address. Mobile carriers in many countries run a version of it too. In much of Europe and Asia you cannot buy a local SIM card at a shop without showing a passport.

A no-KYC eSIM skips all of that. You do not upload a document, you do not take a selfie and you do not create an account. You pick a data plan, pay, and get a QR code that installs the eSIM on your phone.

That is possible because a travel eSIM is a data-only product. It has no phone number, so you cannot use it to call or text anyone. It connects to licensed local networks in your destination through an international distributor, the same way roaming does.

Why most eSIM apps still want your details

The big travel eSIM brands are convenient, but almost all of them are built around an account:

  • An email and a profile. You sign up before you can pay, and your purchase history is tied to that profile.
  • A card or PayPal. Card payments carry your name, and the payment processor keeps its own record.
  • An app. The app has its own permissions, analytics and device identifiers.

None of that is sinister. It is simply how most consumer apps work. But it means a single travel purchase leaves a trail: your name, email, card and device are linked to the countries you visited and when.

What a no-KYC eSIM does *not* hide

Being honest about the limits matters more than any marketing line, so here they are.

  • The network still sees your phone. Like any SIM, an eSIM connects to cell towers. The operator sees which tower you are near and how much data you use. What it does not get from us is your name.
  • Your traffic is not encrypted by the eSIM. Websites still see the IP address of the network you are on, and the operator can see which servers you connect to. If you want to hide the content of your traffic, use a VPN. Any VPN works with our eSIMs, and we do not block or slow it.
  • Your behaviour can still identify you. Logging into your Google, Apple or social accounts tells those companies who you are, whatever SIM you use.
  • Your main SIM keeps working. Calls and SMS to your normal number still go through your home carrier, which knows who you are.

So "no-KYC" means *we do not collect your identity*. It does not mean *nobody can ever know anything about you*. We go deeper on this in Can an eSIM be tracked?

Buying a data-only eSIM without ID is legal for us to sell and normal in the travel industry. The plans come from licensed operators. As with any internet connection, you are responsible for following the laws of the country you are in. Our Terms of Service cover the details. We are not lawyers and cannot advise on the rules of a specific country.

How to buy one in about two minutes

  1. Check your phone. Dial *#06#. If you see an EID line, your phone supports eSIM. Also make sure it is not locked to a carrier. Our phone check walks you through it.
  2. Pick a plan. Choose a single country (cheapest per GB), a region such as Europe, or a global plan on the plans page. Local plans start from $1.20.
  3. Pay. On the website, pay with USDT (TRC-20), TON, Solana, USDC, ETH, BTC or Monero. In our Telegram bot you can also pay with Telegram Stars, no crypto needed.
  4. Install. The QR code appears on your order page, usually within a minute of the payment confirming. On iPhone there is a one-tap install button. A PDF with the instructions and your order code downloads automatically.
  5. Travel. Your plan's days start when you first connect in the destination, not when you buy. Install at home on Wi-Fi and switch it on when you land.

Keep your order code safe. Because we have no email for you, the order code is the only way to reopen a website order. Anyone who has it can see the eSIM, so do not share it.

Who a no-KYC eSIM is for

  • Privacy-minded travellers who would rather not hand over a passport scan for a week of mobile data.
  • People without a card, or who prefer not to use one online.
  • Crypto holders who want to spend stablecoins on something practical.
  • Anyone tired of accounts. No password to forget, no marketing emails, no app to update.
